Archway has partnered with an established construction and property business, bringing together project delivery, sales and operational teams in a busy, hands-on environment.

This is a business where people need to be comfortable getting involved across functions, taking ownership and finding better ways of doing things. The successful individual will work closely with senior leadership while becoming an important point of coordination across the wider organisation.

This is a permanent, fully office-based opportunity offering stability and genuine scope to make the role your own.

The Role

As a Business Operations Coordinator, you'll take ownership of a varied portfolio spanning, leadership support, business operations, office administration, recruitment and HR coordination, and process improvement.

    • Providing proactive operational and administrative support to the Director and SLT
    • Coordinating business projects, priorities, actions and deadlines
    • Improving systems, processes and workflows across the business
    • Overseeing office, facilities and day-to-day business administration
    • Coordinating client warranty, maintenance and handover requirements
    • Managing internal communications, staff events and employee initiatives
    • Owning end-to-end recruitment, from advertising through to onboarding
    • Supporting wider people administration, including employee records, reviews and employment documentation

Role Requirements
We're looking for someone proactive, organised, and confident taking ownership. You'll ideally bring:

  • Previous experience across business administration, operations coordination, recruitment or HR support
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities independently
  • Experience supporting senior leaders and coordinating activity across different areas of a business
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and the ability to quickly learn new technology and business systems
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach and a genuine interest in improving systems and processes
  • The confidence to follow up actions, keep people accountable to deadlines and ensure things get completed

Experience within construction, property development or another practical, project-led environment would be advantageous but is not essential.

Above all, you'll be someone who sees what needs doing and gets on with it. You'll enjoy being the person others can rely on to keep things organised, improve how the business operates and follow tasks through to completion.

What's in it for You?

  • Permanent position offering a salary of $75,000 - $85,000
  • Stable opportunity with scope to establish yourself in the business for the longer term
  • Broad exposure across operations, leadership support, business improvement, recruitment, and HR
  • Direct interaction with the Director and Senior Leadership Team
  • Opportunity to introduce process improvements, technology, automation and more efficient ways of working
  • Varied position where you can have a visible impact across the organisation
  • Lower Hutt location
  • Flexible start date

This is a fully office-based position with no work-from-home arrangement, so it will particularly suit someone who enjoys being on site, close to the teams they support and at the centre of business activity.
