– The Opportunity As a Maintenance Fitter, you’ll play a key role in keeping production running safely and efficiently. Working closely with operations and fellow tradespeople, you’ll be involved in both preventative and breakdown maintenance across a large-scale manufacturing facility.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preventative maintenance and servicing of production equipment
- Fault finding and troubleshooting on machinery and robotic systems
- Repairing and replacing mechanical components
- Equipment installations and project work
- Reactive breakdown maintenance
- Continuous improvement activities
- Supporting apprentices and sharing technical knowledge
- Maintaining workshop and site safety standards
What We’re Looking For To be successful, you’ll ideally have:
- Trade qualification as a Fitter, Fitter & Turner, or Fitter/Machinist
- Previous experience within manufacturing, FMCG, food, packaging, meat processing, or industrial environments
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
- Current driver’s licence
- Full Australian Work Rights
- Forklift licence (advantageous)
