C&H Recruitment is recruiting for multiple Mechanical Fitters for workshop roles in Rockhampton working on overhaul projects on underground mining equipment.
The primary purpose of the role is to maintain, overhaul, and repair our client's product line of underground mining machinery.
This project starts immediately through to the Christmas period and potentially extended til March 2027, minimum 2 months work and up to 5.
Casual hourly rate $59.93/hr + penalties
Monday to Friday 38 hours per week
Generally 6am starts on day shift
Your responsibilities will include:
- Strip, overhaul, and assemble mining equipment
- Interpret drawings and specifications to complete machinery assembly
- Hydraulic and pneumatic tasks
Skills and experience:
- Trade qualification - Fitter
- High risk license - forklift, doggers, or work platform (desirable)
