Newcastle-based opportunity offering variety, responsibility and exposure to strategic business activities
This is an integral executive support position, partnering with two Directors of PKF, acting as a true extension and trusted partner of them. You’ll manage competing commitments, be accountable for the execution of tasks, build strong stakeholder relationships and ensure they have the time, information and preparation needed to work effectively.
About the company
PKF is an accounting and business advisory firm supporting clients across a broad range of industries. With connections across regional offices and national and international networks, the business offers exposure to diverse clients, projects and professional relationships.
Based in Newcastle, this opportunity places you close to senior leadership, supporting Directors whose responsibilities span client advisory, business strategy and external board commitments.
About the opportunity
This is a varied Executive Assistant role for someone who enjoys building a true working partnership with the Directors they support. You’ll develop an understanding of each Director’s priorities and working style, anticipating what’s needed and taking accountability of the details that keep their days running smoothly.
Beyond day-to-day executive support, you’ll coordinate client meetings, contribute to strategy-session preparation, prepare business documentation and follow through on actions. You’ll also become a trusted point of contact for clients, colleagues and external stakeholders, maintaining professionalism and discretion in every interaction.
Key responsibilities include:
Manage complex diaries, coordinating client, leadership, board and personal commitments while protecting preparation and travel time.
Monitor and prioritise executive correspondence, draft responses and follow up outstanding requests and approvals.
Coordinate meetings, agendas, supporting papers and briefings, ensuring the Directors are well-prepared.
Draft and format proposals, engagement documents, reports and correspondence for review and approval.
Follow up client onboarding requirements, signatures, information requests and agreed actions.
Arrange domestic and international travel, including accommodation, transport and detailed itineraries.
Support client strategy sessions by coordinating questionnaires and surveys, collating feedback and preparing presentations.
Liaise with clients, partners, regional offices and external stakeholders on behalf of the Directors.
Coordinate billing reports, expense claims, corporate credit-card reconciliations and supplier invoices.
Support events, seminars, conferences and business-development activities, working closely with marketing and internal teams.
Assist with recruitment logistics, team coordination and occasional personal administration as required.
About you
You are an experienced Executive support professional who enjoys taking accountability and staying one step ahead. You can work independently, make considered decisions and bring structure to busy schedules without needing detailed direction.
